Garden clearance.

Overgrown gardens cut back, cleared and taken away — so there is something to work with again.

What it involves

Gardens get away from people. A house that has been empty, a season missed, an illness, a move — it does not take long for brambles and self-seeded growth to take a garden over completely.

Clearance is the job that resets it: growth cut back, beds cleared, the waste taken away and the ground left in a state where you can see what you have got. Plenty of clearances turn into a regular maintenance visit afterwards, which is the cheapest way to make sure it does not happen twice.

What you get

What it actually changes.

  • 01

    A garden you can see

Once the growth is off, what is actually there — paths, beds, a lawn — turns up again.

  • 02

    Waste gone, not piled up

Clearance includes taking the arisings away rather than leaving them in a heap at the bottom.

  • 03

    A base to build on

Cleared ground is the starting point for turf, planting, fencing or a patio.
