Hedge trimming and cutting.
Straight tops, square sides and the cuttings cleared away — from a yearly tidy to bringing a hedge that has got out of hand back under control.

What it involves
A hedge that is cut properly holds its shape for the rest of the year. The photographs on this page are the same conifer hedge before and after a cut: soft, bulging growth spilling over a gravel drive on one side, a flat top and square faces on the other.
Work covers routine trimming, reshaping and reducing a hedge that has outgrown its space, plus general pruning around it. Height, access and how long it has been left all affect the job, so photographs sent with an enquiry make for a far more accurate quote.

Most garden hedges are cut once or twice between late spring and early autumn. Nesting birds are the thing to be careful of, so hedges are checked before work starts and a cut is moved if there is an active nest in it.
Yes. Reductions are common on conifer and leylandii hedges that have got above what the owner can manage. How far it can safely come down depends on the hedge, which is something to look at when quoting.
Yes. Clearing up is included, and it is worth knowing that a long conifer hedge produces a surprising volume of waste.
Your side of it, yes. Anything overhanging from the neighbour's side is worth a conversation with them first — it is usually straightforward, and it avoids any awkwardness afterwards.
