Most gardens do not need a redesign. They need somebody to turn up, cut the grass, sort the borders, take the rubbish away and do the same again before it gets out of hand. That is what garden maintenance covers.
Work can be arranged as a regular visit — weekly, fortnightly or monthly through the growing season — or as a single tidy-up when a garden has got away from you. Either is fine, and there is no obligation to commit to a schedule to get the first job done.

Whatever suits the garden. Most gardens want a fortnightly visit through spring and summer and much less through winter, but a monthly visit or a single tidy is just as welcome.
No. One-off work and regular work are both fine, and plenty of customers start with a single tidy-up and arrange something ongoing afterwards.
Yes — clearing up afterwards is part of the job. Say so when you enquire if there is a lot of it, so it can be allowed for in the quote.
Not usually, as long as there is access to the garden. It is worth mentioning gate codes, locked side gates or dogs when you get in touch.
